Alston Moor Historical Society is based in the North Pennines and has a large and growing archive of maps, books, documents and photographs concerning the local community and its history. This on-line catalogue gives you a means of finding information about items that may interest you.

There should be a catalogue record for every item in the archive. Some records, such as digital photographs and sound recordings are only 'on-line', but for the most part each catalogue record will describe a physical object in our collections.

Our Archive is stored in Alston Town Hall and is open to the public on most Saturdays.
